I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
